Tiara Monet
Born Tiara Monet Edwards to Samuel L. Edwards and Linda D. Edwards, Tiara Monet started singing at an early age. Her parents were also members of the military; Tiara Monet was exposed to different environments, moving from various states and finally settling in California. As a child, she sang, acted and competed in many talent shows and theater productions in her schools in California and Hawaii. She won the audience over with her precocious and sassy attitude, advanced sound, and natural dancing abilities.
Teaming up with her siblings Mekisha T. Edwards, and Sherise L.Edwards, Tiara Monet, with her father as manager of the group, formed a gospel group singing at church functions and services. Soon after, Tiara Monet joined dance organizations through her school, and began teaching Hip Hop to children. At the age of 16, Tiara Monet participated in a local talent show landing her the interest of A&R scouts from limelight productions and Columbia records. Through her teen years, Tiara Monet continued to gain local public attention and industry attention through her singing and new found writing abilities.
While enjoying her growing musical success, Tiara Monet began exploring other projects. She made her first modeling debut in 2006 doing numerous showcases and photo shoots for Maryland’s top hair and makeup designers, while following up in 2008 with her debut in LA fashion week for Voom Clothing by designer Joy Vaughn. She continued to model with brand names such as Banana Republic, Lucky Brand, and Anchor Blue. On the musical front, Tiara Monet established herself as a solo artist writing and singing with today’s top selling producers and entertainers.
Today, Tiara Monet still makes her way to the top of her legacy status making waves all over the Los Angeles area. So much to expect, watch and listen for, new up and coming Pop R&B artist Tiara Monet.
